Nice red wine, dry and priced right
Plantaze Vranac Pro Corde 750ML, Montenegro
87 points- Wine Spectator (2009 vintage)
"A robust red, with plenty of rich, smoky notes to the ripe plum, spiced cherry and blackberry flavors. Shows a good snap of raspberry and chocolate on the finish."
Love the Vranac and the wine that is produced by the Plantaze Vineyard.
The agricultural products from the Balkans are unknown and thus underrated. This wine is absolutely excellent. I am pleasantly surprised. Not dry, and a bit on the strong side - excellent with a heavy meal. You won't be disappointed.
