Produced to mimic an antique style of Cognac made around 1840, this liquor is made specifically for mixing pre-Civil War drinks. Seems like a waste of cognac? Try it instead of whiskey in your next Mint Julep or Sazerac - it takes them to another level and makes them much better, in my opinion. At $30 a bottle, this is a good buy.
Pierre Ferrand 1840 Original Formula Cognac 750ML, Grand Champagne Cognac, France
Smells of fresh green grapes and varies oaks and spices. Tastes like it smells with an added flavor of butterscotch and honey.
