Well now there in an app for that- Corkbin. This simple, but well-designed app is available for Android and iPhone and is FREE to download. In addition to capturing wine labels on your phone it has an offline mode (when you lose a signal visiting those underground wine cellars) image recognition,  a glossary of wine terms, and even a sharing function to tip-off your wine buddies on your latest find.
