5 Refreshing Wine Cocktails for Summer

Spirits have the reputation for being the perfect ingredient in cocktails, be it whiskey, vodka, gin, cognac, and many more. However, wine is an overlooked and underestimated base for many delicious cocktails. Wine cocktails are perfect for summer because wine typically has less alcohol than spirits so the drinks won’t leave you feeling hot and tired at an outdoor event or a day under the sun.

Wine cocktails can be simple like a cool summer wine spritzer with three parts red wine to one part lemon-lime soda on ice. Or they can be complex with many different ingredients like cocktails made from spirits. Below are five yummy summer wine cocktail recipes that are easy to make and don’t require a lot of steps, for you can enjoy the rest of the season.
