Color: Interestingly it’s a little darker than the 10 YO; golden yellow with some reddish tinge Nose: Ginger, licorice, grilled meats, BBQ (almost like a mild Alligator?), pepper, Taste: Wow! Spicy, tar, pine, oranges, woodsy, mild & tasty smoke, toasted oatmeal Overall: I continue to be amazed by any and all of the expressions that Ardbeg invents. This 5 YO is incredible! I adore the 10 YO and this, at half that age, is almost a completely different whisky. Incredible.
