Aromas of caramelized pecans, candied cherry and maple syrup, the company reports. The palate begins with caramel, maple and candied raisin, leading to candied cherry, barrel char and cinnamon on the body. The finish brings cinnamon and peppermint spice, with notes of vanilla, caramel and oak.

Remus Repeal Reserve IV
A worthy addition to the annual release, Remus Repeal Reserve IV is a well balanced high rye bourbon that showcases MGPI’s skill at blending. Nose is fantastic: peppery, tobacco. Good legs and color in the glass. First flavor is overall balance, more pepper on the back of the palate, followed by a slightly thin aftertaste. Finish is light, but pleasant. The 1st edition RRR still sets the bar for the series, but I always look forward to seeing what the new brand will present. Looking forward to trying the single barrel George Remus at cask strength, which is where MGP whiskey shines. Pick up a bottle Remus Repeal Reserve IV and you won’t be disappointed.
