For the lovers of bitter herbal liquor, this is it. I serve it over ice with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Or just as it comes , at room temperature. I tried Italian amaros and they were all sweet and overly processed in comparison to this marvel. But again, you must be a lover of true bitters.

Growing up I was forced to take sips of this drink every time I had stomach ache. I'm not sure if this was the cure of if I pretended to feel better because I didn't like the taste. Now, as an adult I love this drink. I love the bitter taste and nuanced herbal flavors. Perfect drink before or after diner. I love mine with small squeeze of lemon or orange juice or simply drinking it neat (semi cooled). If you like overdoing things than this may not be the drink for you. Hangovers from this thing are legendary. So stick to one or two drinks and enjoy it for what it is. Wormwood is primary ingredient (pelin) buy don't expect hallucinations. As you shouldn't expect it from apsynth (green fairy is fairytale only young people believe in). Lastly, if you have stomach ache, try it. It may help.
