Even before this whiskey touches your lips, the nose promises an exotic adventure in flavour. Oriental incense, woody spices and coconut aromas, mix wonderfully with the lighter fruitier notes of this Irish single malt. Whiskey is an experiment, this one more than most. Ireland has never produced a whiskey like it.

One of a kind
I'm not fully invested in all things Glendalough, but I've had this bottling and the Poitín (which was quite interesting!), but I can say that it is a very successful finish (I have to assume difficult with such a fussy oak species) and underlying a successful and mature Irish whiskey!
