Description
Glendalough Double Barrel Irish Single Grain 750ML
"Ireland’s first craft distillery gives you a whole new style of single grain Irish whiskey, aged first in American Bourbon barrels and finished in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. The nose is slight for a whiskey, but undoubtedly rich with dark fruit, cherry, raisin, fig - Christmas cakey - along with floral notes and lemongrass. The taste is sweet and creamy on the palate to the front, with butterscotch, honey and peppercorn. Followed by dried fruit returning maraschino cherries and a pinch of brown sugar. The finish has drifting notes of ginger spices and sweet vanilla with a faint shaving of almond to end a complex whiskey from start to finish."

Great Whisky
I first had this brand overseas and have ling been waiting to find it in US, specifically in the Mid-West, with no luck. Finally I came across Liquor Barn that carries these brand. As for the Whisky, I have been waiting for another taste for about 4 years, and the wait has been rewarded with an outstanding Whisky. This Double Barrel has great body, color, odor and taste. I did not expected this Irish Whisky to be so smooth and flavorful, will surely be buying this monthly as I can see this being my drinking Irish Whisky.

5 Bottles In
Over the months, I have purchased 5 bottles of this whiskey now. It continues to be an exceptional whiskey, full bodied, yet easy to drink, Neat, On the rocks, or mixed. I now keep this stocked instead of Jameson.

Glendalough Double Barrel Whiskey
An exceptional whiskey. Reminiscent of Jameson, but a touch stronger in alcohol volume but just as smoothe, if not more so. Very smoothe, well balanced. In my opinion, best served with a slight chill. Very mixable though I wouldn't want to waste its flavor by mixing it. Perfect Neat or a slight chill. I've bought two bottles so far.
