Bottled at 88 proof, the nose is soft, with a hint of leather, honey and vanilla, and an undertone of smoke and maple syrup.
On the palate, honey and heather notes add complexity, as smoke pulls forward through ginger and burnt sugar.

SMOOTH AS THE "DUKE," HIMSELF
If you want a bourbon you can sip for some time, this is the one. As smooth as the "Duke" himself, Duke Bourbon is a wonderful blend that keeps you satisfied when spending time with friends. I like nothing better than sitting around a hot campfire with friends, on a cold evening, talking about the day's events, and sipping Duke Bourbon neat. Ahhh, the "Duke" would be proud!

Very good bourbon, I'm generally a crown or jack Daniels drinker but after this no thank you , duke is for me

Bought as a Christmas gift for a John Wayne collector. He loved it, good thing I bought him two. One to drink and one to keep. It is some of the best whiskey I have ever tasted.

Nice Smooth Bourbon
I was anxious to get the John Wayne Bourbon and was not disappointed one bit. The bourbon is nice and mellow and goes down smooth as silk. Great product and I will continue to get it.

I think you'll find this to be a complex but well-rounded, nicely mellowed, well aged spirit with a great tingle, nice wash and a spicy but smooth finish. Not as full bodied like Woodford, but right next to Knob Creek and Bulliet for overall taste and refinement. The final comparison leans more towards Bulliet in taste, tang and spice, but well worth the price. This bourbon is as bold yet refined as The Duke and lives up to its namesake.

Gift for a John Wayne fan!
I can't review the quality of the whisky because it will be a birthday gift for our grandson who is a big John Wayne fan. The label and bottle look impressive and I'm sure he'll love to display it in his home bar area
