3 Best Mother’s Day Cocktails

Bloody Mary
Ingredients to serve 6 people:
3.5lb beefsteak tomatoes
0.5 c seafood cocktail sauce
0.25 c Worcestershire sauce
1.5 tsp Worcestershire sauce
0.25 c fresh lemon juice
3 Tbsp grated horseradish
10 dash Tabasco
1.5 tsp kosher salt
1.5 tsp freshly ground pepper
1.5 tsp celery salt
Ice
12 oz vodka
6 celery stalks
Directions:
Puree tomatoes in a food processor until liquefied. Then strain through a fine sieve into a pitcher, making sure to press all juice from the pulp. Discard pulp and stir in all remaining ingredients except ice, vodka, and celery.
Fill each glass with ice, 2 ounces vodka, and about 3/4 cup of mix; stir to combine. Garnish with celery and other yummy accoutrements.
O Fizz
Ingredients to serve 4 people:
3 tsp sugar or simple syrup
12 fresh mint sprigs
3 oz fresh lime juice
Ice
8 oz vodka
Cranberry juice
Fresh raspberries
Directions:
For each fizz, add 3/4 teaspoon sugar or simple syrup, 3 mint sprigs, and 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice to a cocktail shaker. Muddle content with a bar spoon and then add ice to the shaker, along with 2 ounces of vodka and a splash of cranberry juice.
Shake vigorously and strain into a champagne flute. Top the glass with champagne and garnish with a few fresh raspberries and a sprig of mint.
Sangria
Ingredients for 12 people:
1 bottle red wine
1.5 c fresh orange juice
1/3 c brandy
1/3 c sugar
2 pitted and cut into wedges
1 orange
1 lemon
1 sliced
3 c seltzer or club soda
Ice cubes
Directions:
In a three or four-quart pitcher, combine wine, orange juice, brandy, and sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves. Stir in fruit and cucumber.
Cover and refrigerate until well chilled, at least 3 hours or overnight. When it’s time to serve, stir seltzer into the pitcher. Fill the glasses with ice and pour in the sangria.
