Romanian wines receive numerous medals at international wine competitions but unfortunately they are the best kept secret in the wine industry. This comes from a very famous vineyard in Romania. Many Romanian wines are bottled with French labels and then sold as French. I bet you didn't know this. Since it's not dry or very sweet (like Grasa de Cotnari) it just hits my spot :) It's a balanced wine that goes well with a juicy American steak or just as is. Yeeah. The best of 'merica and Romania :) Hai Romania ! (that means "Go Romania !") If you would like to try other great Romanian wines that got medals at wine competitions, try the white wines "Tamaioasa Romaneasca" and "Francusa".
