"First aromas are deep and woody; after six minutes of additional aeration seductive notes of sautéed butter, roasted asparagus and scorched vegetation emerge. Palate entry is focused, meaty and mildly salty/briny; at midpalate flavors of buttered walnut, nougat and fudge contribute to an engaging mouth experience. Concludes moderately salty/seaweedy and toasty."
"Less peaty than other Islay malts. Sweeter and lighter. Smoky nose leads to fruity undertones. Smooth initial palate with distinctive light oiliness, perhaps minty toffee. Soft and clean with a nutty malty sweetness. Very full flavour development. Finish is long with some smoky notes. A lovely aperitif as it's one of the lightest Islay whiskies." -Producer
