"Held captive inside of the bottle from birth, these fragrant pears are sustained by a bath of the finest French pear brandy crafted known in French as eau de vie, or water of life. Ours is crafted from premium Alsatian pears; crushed by their own weight, the fruit juices mix with natural yeast on the skins and naturally ferment, converting most of the fruit’s sugar into alcohol. About six weeks later, the natural fermentation ends and the fruit are sealed in a vat until distillation. Our brandies are distilled in traditional copper pot stills; to get a single bottle of pear brandy, more than 30 pounds of pears are needed! The resulting brandy is subtle, slightly earthy and incredibly smooth; we add it to the bottles where the fresh pears are trapped, preserving them in all their glory. This eau de vie is truly the water of life for this captive! Ah, to spend a lifetime swimming in divine pear brandy; captivity never sounded so sweet!"
